Strength made perfect in weakness
Smiles unfading amid storms
Suffering endured with patience
Service completed in faithfulness.

Sermons empowered by the Spirit
Sword was the Word in battles
Sweet hours of unceasing prayer
Secret weapon at every trial.

Soul winning from a wheel chair
Sharing the gospel in every way
Serene, uncomplaining against all odds
Satisfied in God’s provision each day.

Simplicity was his hallmark jewel
Selfless giving and caring others well
Such was his inspiring life by faith
So much and more by grace alone.

Suffering changed to heavenly bliss
Sorrow ended, no longer in pain
Standing on His feet, weak no more
Seeing loved ones gone before.

Saviour’s face he is gazing now
Soulfully worshipping around the throne
“So long warrior, you did your best
Short good bye, take your rest”.
